– Get as much rest as possible! This allows your body time to heal. Children are very good at this – they just crash and sleep!
– Fluids are important to keep all the mucous membranes working correctly. Warm drinks, soups, juices, water etc.
– High dose Vit C, Zinc and Echinacea taken together for 2-3 days at the start of a cold, can vastly speed up recovery time. Vit D and B6 are also a good idea here.
– Fruits and vegetables not only contain over 75% water but have vital nutrients to aid the body to heal. Smoothies, soups or even fruit-juice lollies (sore throat) are all a good way to ‘hide’ these for fussy eaters!
