My Passions and Quirks.
So you may have read my ‘About’ page on my website or even read a few of my blogs. But how well do you really know me? Well, if you’re sitting comfortably, I’ll begin……..
My Passions:
A few things in my life are non-negotiable. One of them is exercise and one is my love of food!
Washing my hair? Nope, I’m at the gym……
I like to practice what I preach. I attend a kickboxing class, spin class and Bodypump class every week. Exercise is hugely important to me and each class appeals to me for different reasons. I need a class environment to motivate me! I’ve made some amazing friends too. All the classes make me sweat (a lot!), release feel-good endorphins, and make me physically stronger. This is all before you consider the major mental health benefits. I can’t imagine my life without exercise and actually get annoyed if something interrupts my ‘gym’ routine!
Food, glorious food!
I LOVE food! This may seem odd, especially after the above paragraph, but it’s true! Ask any of my friends and they will tell you I have a large appetite! I did have a very fast metabolism when I was much younger and so could eat anything without gaining weight. Unfortunately, it has slowed down now I’m older but I never deny myself any foods. It’s all about balance and moderation. I enjoy cooking immensely and trying out new recipes. Jamie Oliver, Fay Ripley and Joe Wicks’ books are my favourites.
My Quirks:
- I can eat raw potato and actually enjoy it!
- I can recite most Pixar Disney movies by heart (and still do, much to the annoyance of those watching with me!)
- I am a bookworm and can read very fast.
- I’m slightly OCD about tidiness – everything has a place and I like everything to be in its place!
