This is a massive topic! Women represent 51% of the population yet advances in female health have been slow at best. Females were not allowed to be participants in drug trials until 1993 in the USA. This was partly to do with the Thalidomide disaster in the 1960s but it also kept costs down. Women need to visit the GP up to 4 times more to be believed and taken seriously for their medial issues than men. Often women are sent away having been told ‘It’s all in your head’.
Female hormones are often ‘blamed’ for most things that cause pain or discomfort for women. With the invention of the contraceptive pill in the 1960s, this introduced synthetic hormones into the picture. They have been used as a medical ‘panacea’ ever since. Women operate on a 28day hormonal cycle versus men who function on a 24hr cycle.
I’m very passionate about helping women to understand their own bodies, trust what they tell me and more importantly, help to fix what is causing them pain. Homeopathy can so easily and gently help to regulate women’s menstrual cycles, help them cope with the juggling act of modern life, and ease them through menopause.
