Perimenopausal rage Case study
Presenting condition: USA resident lady exploding with rage and gained weight. Also has wart on foot for many months, with no success with burning/freezing treatments.
Brief history: Client convinced she is suffering from perimenopausal anger and increased weight due to hormonal issues.
Relevant timeline incidents:
45yrs Husband took a new job but as he is the main breadwinner it affected the whole family. She helped him to negotiate his contract as old boss was an alcoholic.
47yrs Feeling like she has a very short fuse with children, husband and everyone! Gains weight easily, and wart on foot has been there for months despite chiropody treatment.
Main remedy given: Sepia
After 1st prescription:
Wart on foot now gone! Small black dot remains in centre of eruption but significant change with this. Less angry for the 1st half of her menstrual cycle. She felt ‘lighter’ in her mood. Thought she’d gone backwards but checked and was in PMT part of her cycle. No pain in lower back but sciatica really playing up. 70% better after seeing an acupuncturist. Neela to give remedy for this next time. Sweet tooth cravings decreased, and feeling full on less food. She feels there has been a ‘reconnection’ to her body and appetite. Neela suggested Hypopressives exercises for slight urine incontinence when running.
After 2nd prescription:
Knee pain better! Wart on foot totally gone now. Feeling much better emotionally. More energy and more patience with her family. Less angry outbursts. Slightly shorter menstrual cycles but no clots, headaches on day 3 or PMT! Less craving for chocolate around this time too. ‘The periods were unremarkable – a total non-event!’. Homeopathic remedy worked wonders for the sciatica. Left foot has dry itchy skin between the toes, worsened by alcohol.
After 3rd prescription:
Skin issue on left foot better now, with itching reduced by 50%. Wart has not returned, and knee pain and sciatica also still at bay. Energy has remained high and sustained. Periods are also still unremarkable. Slight sensation of a ‘lump’ in throat after sad news of old friend’s suicide.
After 4th prescription:
Left foot heel dry flaky skin present. Emotionally ‘feeling like my old self again, which has been sustained!’. Periods now regular. All else good.
After 5th prescription:
Had slight Sepia aggravation. Neela advised to decrease the dose to monthly vs weekly. Symptoms resolved quickly. Left foot 50% better but still there so Neela suggested to repeat the remedy for the foot.
Summary:
This lady came to me stressed and with a very short fuse. Sepia helped her immensely as did the other minor remedies for her long term wart which disappeared after only 8 weeks, compared to conventional treatment which took over 1yr.
